I photographed the puppies the best I could….but I’ll tell you now they may not be my best. It was sort of like….which pile of garbage shall I pose them on?…coupled with every time I would crouch down, I was stampeded in the muck….I left covered in mud and shit from head to toe. I am not sure what you have planned as far as showing these puppies to anyone, but the house and yard are one of the worst I’ve ever been to (and I’ve lived in some BAD neighborhoods in Miami). Just a heads up in case you haven’t actually seen them. The place is a poster for Dogs Deserve Better…mud, chains on every tree, door and porch post, piles of garbage and liquour bottles and a great big sign on the door that says “Danger-Guard Dogs.”
Any chance of getting them out of there? They are scrappy and hunting everywhere for food…There is one in particular that I am worried about…Carla came out with it in arms, already bleeding from both ears and wouldn’t put it down because the others continually attack it. I almost asked to bring it home and would consider going back for it if you want me to. I can handle another dog right now, but probably not 12.
Also not sure what the arrangement is, but even though Carla told passing inquirer that pups would be for sale through RP for $100, spayed/neutered and vaccinated, it did not stop her from handing out her name and number for more conversation about the possibility of a direct sale. I know there is talk about spaying one of the mom dogs, but what of the rest…the moms are mother and daughter, “runts from former litters” per the kids, and dads are probably brothers…with testicles that could be seen for miles even through the muddy window. Any agreement to prevent future litters? Yikes, I’ll leave that in your hands, but she’s been allowing them to breed for generations and I doubt it will stop unless they all get altered.
The positive note is that they are beautiful…all golden/white with great eyes. Hopefully they will attract some attention and find homes fast!! I’ve chosen cuter photos for the post (will be up tomorrow…I will go into town with the laptop where I can work more quickly), but here is a sample of the scenery…..
